Money Conversations That Matter
Financial literacy shouldn't feel like homework. We teach practical finance through discussions that mirror real situations—budgeting with actual numbers, investment decisions based on personal goals, and planning for life events you'll actually face.

How We Think About Money
Financial education gets stuck in theory too often. Here's what shapes our approach to teaching money skills.
Context Over Rules
A saving strategy that works for someone in their twenties won't suit a family with three kids. We teach frameworks that adapt to different life stages rather than one-size-fits-all formulas.
Numbers Tell Stories
Every budget reflects priorities and trade-offs. We dig into what spending patterns reveal about values and goals—because understanding the "why" matters as much as balancing the spreadsheet.
Mistakes Are Data
Most finance courses avoid talking about failures. We think bad decisions offer better lessons than success stories, so we examine both without judgment.

Real Scenarios, Not Theory
We built our curriculum by tracking what actually confuses people about money. Turns out, most financial stress doesn't come from lack of information—it comes from applying generic advice to specific situations that don't quite fit.
Our sessions start with situations you'll recognize. Someone gets a raise and isn't sure how to allocate it. A couple disagrees about whether to pay off debt or save for a house. A parent wants to help their kid understand credit without lecturing.
- Work through real household budgets with all the messy variables
- Compare investment options using actual risk profiles and time horizons
- Practice difficult money conversations before having them at home
- Review case studies where people made both smart and questionable choices
What We Cover
Our curriculum focuses on topics that show up repeatedly in daily financial decisions.
Household Cash Flow
Most budgeting advice assumes steady income and predictable expenses. We deal with irregular paychecks, seasonal costs, and unexpected bills—because that's reality for many households.
12 week moduleDebt Strategy
Whether to aggressively pay down debt or maintain minimum payments while investing depends on rates, tax implications, and personal stress tolerance. We explore all three factors.
8 week moduleInvestment Basics
Risk tolerance sounds simple until you're watching your portfolio drop 15% in a week. We discuss how different investment vehicles behave during volatility—not just during good years.
10 week moduleLife Transitions
Major life events—marriage, kids, career changes, retirement—each reshapes your financial landscape. We work through the money decisions that come with transitions before they happen.

Jasper Thornby
Program Director
I spent twelve years as a financial planner before realizing most people needed education more than products. The same questions kept coming up—how to prioritize competing goals, when to adjust strategy, why certain advice didn't feel right for their situation.
So I started teaching small workshops in 2019. What surprised me was how much people already knew about finance. They just lacked confidence to trust their judgment or apply concepts to their specific circumstances.
That became the foundation for quatelinevo. We don't treat participants like blank slates. Instead, we build on existing knowledge and help people develop financial decision-making skills they can use independently.

Your Path Forward
Financial education works best when it matches where you are right now. Some people need foundational concepts. Others want advanced strategy discussions. We offer both, with flexible scheduling that fits around work and life.
Our autumn 2025 intake begins in late September. Programs run for 6-12 weeks depending on depth, with evening sessions twice weekly. You'll work through material independently between meetings and bring questions to group discussions.
- Schedule a brief consultation to discuss which program fits your goals
- Attend two trial sessions in August 2025 to experience our teaching style
- Enroll in autumn cohort starting September 2025
- Complete your chosen module and continue with additional topics if desired
